MADE Architecture was founded in 2010 by Naveed Ahmed. Naveed had been in private practice since he started his first partnership in 2003 which started life in Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

The idea was simple to bring a diverse pool of people together with various specialism. A team of architects, planning specialists and interior designers to make beautiful architecture, create dynamic urban spaces and build soulful country homes.

We are an award winning RIBA Chartered Architects firm providing a complete RIBA service for a seamless project from start to finish. Our service is individually tailored to suit the needs of the client and the project, this helps us to build long lasting friendship and partnership.

As architects for city centre redevelopments, inner city regeneration, bespoke homes and rural developments, we are in tune with the importance and the wider impact of any project. We see that need for a highly specialised and inclusive approach for each commission.

MADE instil aspirational designs in residential, hotel, retail and office developments in busy urban centres as well as tireless detailing in their individually designed luxury homes. We have worked across the length and breadth of the UK and had key input in some overseas projects also. From shopping complexes in Lancashire and London to residential and commercial in Birmingham, London, Southampton, Swindon, Manchester, Leicester, Portsmouth and Bristol.

Our work ranges in size from large scale urban design; motorcar showrooms; commercial developments; public buildings; education sector projects: large scale residential to one-off luxury homes for families. All projects share an inclusive and contextual approach, enabling innovative and sustainable solutions that can be shared across all sectors.

At concept stage, we are interested in the application of analytical tools to inform the multifaceted design process. Key issues of our thought process are related to the brief, context and the public realm favouring simple, functional, adaptive and symbiotic solutions.

Expertise

Every project has a Director in charge, who holds the responsibility for the overall concept and delivery.

The Director is assisted by associates or a team of associates on the day to day running of projects. The Director acts as a single point of contact for responsibility throughout the process.

The management skills combined with fresh and unique approach of the team contribute highly to the design process. The team will ensure that the project will be functional and delivered to client requirements and beyond the client’s expectations.

We believe that confidence can be created and sustained between clients and the design team throughout the process of implementation through inclusive participation and sharing of information. The outcome is more exciting, innovative and beautiful without compromising functionality.

Design Stages

We deliver many iterations of the proposals with full explanations on any additional permutations.

Being also commercially minded, we provide outline costing with the various options to help our clients make a well informed decision on the preferred options. This is the personal service that we provide that helps our clients to understand the options and their respective strengths and qualities.

As the long term success of the project relies on support of the wider project team, we always encourage other project and design team members to join the debate and gather as many opinions as possible to inform viability and success.

To help communicate our ideas effectively and efficiently, MADE employ various modes of presentation, including sketches, physical and digital working models, imaging and CAD generated drawings and visuals at each stage of the project.

Throughout the design process, advanced methods of communication at MADE ensures an effective and smooth flow of information on a day-to-day basis within the team of consultants. MADE manages the entire design team as not only the design team lead but also as the consultants in charge to ensure a successful delivery of the project regardless of its size and value.
